LAURA NELL MCPHERSON OSBORNE was born to Charles Wesley McPherson and Catherine Joyner McPherson on January 19, 1924. She passed away on October 18, 2014 at the age of 90.

She was the youngest of 9 children and was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters, Addie, Cora, Ona and Mary, and 4 brothers, Elmer, Everett, Hampton, and Lloyd. She was married to Claude Allen Osborne who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Wilma Bledsoe; 1 son, Sherrill Osborne; 4 sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

She was saved at an early age, baptized, and joined Burke’s Union Church and then years later moved her membership to Roller’s Chapel, where she remained loyal as long as her health permitted.

So often we heard her singing songs of glory and praise to our Heavenly Father. A loving mother, devoted wife and a dear friend, she was a divine blessing and inspiration to us. She was the example mentioned in Proverbs 31. We love you dearest mama; the sweetest of rest be yours, until we meet again in God’s sweet paradise.
