LILLIAN IRENE PRICE, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was born October 23, 1932 and departed this life October 26, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, D. H. Price, Jr.; her parents, Joe and Volura Lawson; 4 brothers, T., Guy, M. B. and J. C.; and 1 sister, Sarah Winstead and her daughter-in-law.

She is survived by 3 sons, James, Donnie and H.; 2 daughters, Judy Wells and Mary Lane; 1 brother, Bud and 2 sisters, Dorothy Seals and Sally Herron.

She was saved at a young age and was a faithful member of Mt. Mitchell Church, where she loved attending all services.

Irene would call and invite family and friends to go with her to church. She kept the words to her favorite hymns in her purse and would often sing a heartfelt song that blessed all who heard her. She enjoyed cooking and would cook for the entire church. She wanted to work at the church and she cleaned it for many years. Lots of the money she made went back into the church. Nothing that needed to be done was too hard or too unimportant for her.

Irene also loved her family passionately. She loved and was loved. She will truly be missed by her family, church, and neighbors, but because of God’s amazing grace we will see her again.
