MATTIE SUE (SUDIE) SAGE, left her earthly home on May 20, 2015 to go to her heavenly home. She was born June 18, 1920 near Jonesville, VA. She never ventured far from the same area as she lived in Stickleyville, VA for 73 years.

She enjoyed farming, along with her husband for 62 years, as well as gardening, and visiting with her neighbors and friends or staying in touch by phone. She enjoyed taking care of her animals as well. She worked briefly at Stickleyville School.

She was a member of Blue Springs Methodist and later Blue Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Franklin Sage; parents, Eugene Porter and Laura Bell Warner; 1 sister, Eula Mae Flanary; 2 brothers, Eugene and Billy Patton Warner; and 1 grandson.

Mattie is survived by 1 daughter, Frankie Sage Lambert; 1 granddaughter; and 4 great granddaughters.

Her many friends enabled her to live her way as long as she was able to live alone, garden and go to her church.
