BERTHA CARNELL LAMBERT BLEDSOE HOSKINS, age 88, of the Stickleyville, Virginia community went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on July 11, 2016. She was a member at Mountain View Church and also attended First Christian Church of Appalachia.

She was a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother, a wonderful sister, a homemaker, a farmer, and an avid fisherman who was a great inspiration to everyone she met. She always had a smile and was always willing to help anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruby Lambert; her husbands, H. C. Bledsoe, Jr. and Bill Hoskins; 1 son, Ronnie James Bledsoe; 1 daughter, Elizabeth Ann Myers; and 1 granddaughter.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Margaret Cassell; step children, Virginia Ruth Pridemore, Willie Mae Staly, Martha Brothers, Mary Marquis, Betty Collier and Billy Ray Hoskins; several grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her 6 beloved sisters and 4 brothers, and many friends. She will be dearly missed by everyone and we look forward to meeting her again on Heaven’s golden shore.
