LARRY D. BURTON was born February 20, 1949 and passed away July 9, 2016 at home in his sleep. He was a loving husband, father and papaw who enjoyed spending time with his family. He laughed with them in the good times, cried with them in the sad times, emotionally supported and prayed for them always.

Larry joined Cadet Church in July, 1961. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army as a Green Beret. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Lee and Mary Catherine Burton; 1 son, Earl Eugene Rose and his former wife, Juanita (Rose) Burton.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Elaine Burton of the home; 2 sisters, Judy Parriman and Monica Fox; 5 daughters, Rhonda Burton, Cary Flanary, Violet Robbins, Janie Gibson, and Illine Huff; 4 sons, Jerry Rose, Chad Rutherford, Shane Rutherford and Steve Rutherford. He leaves behind many grandchildren, honorary grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Larry was known to open his arms, home and heart to all those in need. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
