TOMMIE LAWSON, 89, of Blackwater, VA, was born April 10, 1926 and passed away on December 8, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Davey and Jane Lawson; 1 daughter, Tammie Nichols; 7 sisters and 3 brothers.

He was a faithful member of Blackwater Lick Church for as long as his health allowed him. He was a retired school bus driver for the Lee County School System.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Jo Lawson; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter whom he loved dearly.

Tommie is greatly missed by his family, the church and by everyone who knew him. We know he is at peace and we will see him again on Heaven’s bright shore.
