VIRGIE VIRGINIA WILLIAMS, age 83 of Surgoinsville went to be with the Lord June 24, 2016. She was a lifelong member of Long Hollow Church, where she was saved at an early age. The church was the most important part of her life. She walked when she had no other way there. Many times people would pick her up and take her there. She was a friend to all who knew her. Her life here on earth will be missed, but she was so ready to go home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. P. Williams; 2 sons, Raymond and Eugene; 1 daughter, Geneva; parents, Carter and Alvie McPeek; 1 grandson, and 3 sisters.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Phyllis Roop; 1 son, Danny Williams; 2 brothers, J. E. and Jimmy McPeek; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many special friends.

We know that we will meet her again on Heaven’s bright shore.
