ELSIE CAUDILL BANKS passed away July 16, 2017 at the age of 102 years.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bert C. Banks; 1 son, Johnny Hiram; her parents, Hiram and Annie Caudill; 2 sisters, Gladys Pitts and Louanna Banks; 5 brothers, John Fleenor, Charley Caudill, Cassell Caudill, Edison Caudill and Burnice Caudill

Elsie is survived by her son, Carl.

She was a teacher and a newspaper columnist. Elsie, her father, Hiram, and grandfather, Isham, lived from George Washington’s second term as President of the United States until the day of Elsie’s passing.

Elsie was the oldest member of Little Cowan Church and she always loved to have her church friends and preachers visit her home and share a meal with them.
