CHARLES T. LAWSON was born January 3, 1922 and departed this life August 8, 2012.

He was saved and baptized at an early age in the Oliver Springs community, below Knoxville. He was a member of Mt. Mitchell Church for more than 53 years, where he was a Sunday School teacher for several years. He was a faithful member until his health failed him. He also served in the U.S. Army in World War II in the European Theatre in Germany, Italy and Africa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Volura Lawson; 1 daughter, Oleda Lawson; 3 brothers, M. B., Guy and J. C. and 1 sister, Sarah.

Surviving are his wife, Lillie Ruth Sizemore Lawson; 4 daughters, Velma, Melissa, Katherine and Gilda; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dorothy Seals, Irene Price and Sally Herron and 1 brother, James D. Lawson.

He is sadly missed by his family and friends. Until we meet again.
