PAUL JACKSON, age 89, a native of Harlan County, KY, was born April 8, 1923 in Cumberland, KY and died October 6, 2012. He was a graduate of Cumberland High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He was of the Baptist faith and served as a deacon for many years at the Blair Chapel Church and was a faithful member of the Little Cowan Church. His greatest joy in life was singing praises to the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elavie Henson Jackson; parents, Margaret Gilliam and Jason Jackson; 1 brother, Archie Jackson; 3 sisters, Edna Scott, Verna Johnson and Vera Overbey; 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Perry and Paula Early; 1 brother, Jason Jackson, Jr.; 2 sisters, Lena Hill and Wilma Sturgill and a host of other relatives and friends. He is greatly missed by all that knew him.
