GEORGIA VANZANT EVANS, age 89, was born August 30, 1924 in Scott County, VA and went to meet the Lord February 12, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Della Vanzant; husband, James Evans and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her son, James Evans; 1 granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Georgia was a faithful and devoted member and singer at Fairview. She was a Sunday School teacher of children for many years and touched the life of many young people.

She enjoyed gospel music and preaching of the word, even when she could no longer attend church.

Georgia is missed by family and friends, but we know one day we will all be together in heaven.
