BASCOM RAY BARNETT, age 95, of Spring Valley, OH passed away February 8, 2014 at Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville.

He was born October 28, 1918 in Scott County, VA to Franklin Benjamin and Etta Mae Muncie Barnett.

Before retiring, Bascom worked as a farmer and factory worker, designing and producing steering wheels for General Motors. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with his wife and friends, being involved at church, fishing, hunting, raising cattle and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beulah and 1 son, Michael.

Bascom is survived by 2 sons, Christopher and David Barnett; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 brother, Joe Barnett.

He was a member of Fairview Church in Bellbrook, OH.
