DANNY G STURGILL went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2018, at the age of 75.

The son of Baxter and Mary Sturgill, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a retired miner and also a member of the UMWA. Dan enjoyed deer hunting, camping, fishing and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and he will certainly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Jackie and Norma.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eula Sturgill; 1 son, Danny; 1 daughter, Missy; 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Carson, Ed, Jim and Teddy; 2 sisters, Nadine and Polly.

Dan was a faithful member of Copper Creek Church as long as health permitted. He had a special love for children, and all children were drawn to him for his loving attention and treats he always carried for them. He was a very special person and friend to all, always helping wherever he could.

We know he rests with Jesus, his Savior, and awaits his brothers and sisters on the shores of heaven. Until then, Dan, we will hold you in sweet memories.
