MAURINE WARD BROWN, 98, of the Dryden Community, passed away on December 5, 2017 at Lee Health & Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, Virginia. She was born on September 18, 1919, to Charles Sherman Ward and Buna Miller Ward of the Seminary Community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clyde Brown; 3 brothers, Buster Ward, Olen Ward, and William Bascomb (Buddy) Ward and 3 sisters, Ellena Ward, Crystelle Willis, and Emily Jo Norton.

Maurine was a member of Valley View Church of Dryden, Virginia.

Maurine is survived by 3 sons, Gary B. Brown, Jerry Brown and Larry Brown; 1 daughter, Carolyn Randolph; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
