THELMA “LOUISE” BLEDSOE, age 83 of Woodway, Virginia, was born in Keokee, Virginia, on Thursday, November 1, 1934, and passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. Louise was a homemaker who loved working in her flower gardens and was a member of Valley View Church in Dryden, Virginia.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ray “Buster” Bledsoe; her parents, Henry and Dora Mae Vanover Herron; 2 sisters, Elsie Gibson and Rosa Gibson; and 2 brothers, Dallas James and Joseph Gibson.

Thelma is survived by one son, Jesse Lee Bledsoe; 2 sisters, Nervie Lee and Lois Collins. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Louise attended church as long as she was physically able, and her desire was to attend long after it was not possible. If members of churches in the association wanted to be in church as Louise did, all of the churches would have fewer empty pews.
