BETTY RAY DODSON, 76, of Sneedville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, after a long illness. She was born in Claiborne County on February 17, 1943 to Ray and Alta Hurst. Professing faith in Jesus, she joined Swan Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Opal Walker, and nephews Wesley Keck and Paul O’Dell.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 60 years, Earl Lee Dodson; children Rodney (Edie) Dodson and Greg (Tammy) Dodson; grandchildren, Cody (Carrie) Dodson and Lindsay Brooks; great-grandchildren, Caden and Cooper Dodson and Jalynn Brooks; sister, Rose (Bobby) Brown; brother-in-law, Clarence Dodson; nieces Danita Dodson and Malisha Seals; nephew, Jeff Keck; and a circle of family and friends.

Betty will be greatly missed, but her loved ones are assured that she is resting peacefully with the Lord until they see her again.
