PEGGY JANE OSBORNE MELLONS passed away peacefully at home March 30, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born in Blackwater, Virginia on January 3, 1933 to Orbin and Maxie Horton Osborne.

She was a longtime member of Blackwater Lick Primitive Baptist Church, and more recently, West View Primitive Baptist Church. She loved God and served Him faithfully. From her youth she was a member of The Osborne Quartet and later the West View Quartet.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, William Samuel "Dub" Mellons, Jr.; 2 brothers, John Enoch Osborne and Franklin Delano Osborne; 3 sisters, Nannie Kate Wallen, Violet Rubena "Bena" Osborne and Madge Canter.

Peggy is survived by her son, William "Scott” Mellons; daughter, Lori Trent; 2 grandchildren; 1 sister, Pauline Lawson; and many nieces and nephews.
