RALPH AUSTIN “PAPPY” ADAMS was called home on Tuesday, July 30 ,2019 at the age of 89. He was born and raised in Greene/Cocke County, Tennessee before moving to Kingsport. He is survived by his 3 children Rita Adams Neeley, Dawn Adams Hill, Austin Anthony Adams; 1 brother Don Adams; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Lucy Adams, sister Ross Marie Lovelace, first wife and mother to his children, Shirley Wells Adams, and second wife Mary Gibson Adams.

Austin was saved at Caney Creek Primitive Baptist Church prior to joining Poplar Grove Primitive Baptist Church on September 5, 1958. Austin’s walk and talk reflected his love and faith in God. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
