THOMAS “TOMMY” A. LLOYD, 71, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2020. He joined Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church May 29, 1998, where he attended as long as his health permitted. He was a humble man and was always praising and thanking Jesus. He was a disabled veteran, serving in Vietnam in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reece and Pearl Lloyd; sisters, Reba and Frankie Lloyd and Helen Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita Lloyd; son, Thomas R. Lloyd and wife Katrina; daughter, Elizabeth G Lloyd; grandchildren, Kinley Grace Lloyd and Dylan Thomas Lloyd.

A father is the anchor of his family. A child won’t likely find a father in God above unless his earthly father models God’s pure love by what he may say and what he may do. Anchored by faith, Christ being the glue.
