ELDER WALTER CORDELL WILLIS, 83, of Rogersville. On Monday, May 11, 2020, our father and grandfather slipped form our arms into the arms of his Heavenly Father and of the family waiting for him. Our hearts are broken, but at the same time, we know he is where he longed to be.

Walter was born on November 22, 1936 in Blackwater, VA to the late Peart and Zelma Willis. His family moved to Kyles Ford, TN when Walter was a child. Upon graduating from high school in May 1957, Walker joined the Army and spent time in Germany. Upon returning, he moved to Kingsport, TN, and there he met the love of his life Doris Alice Willis. After their marriage on February 20, 1960, they moved to Kyles Ford, TN.
