Hazel (Gilreath) Crawford

January 4, 1932 - December 14, 2021

HAZEL (GILREATH) CRAWFORD, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, with her loving family by her side.

She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member of Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church where she attended until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.M.; parents, Amos and Maxie Gilreath; daughter-in-law, Trish; brothers, Carlyle, J.D., A.H., and Olen; sisters, Gladys Thompson, Gaynell Christian, and an infant sister.

She is survived by her sons, Charles, Tim (Lisa), and David (Sherry); and daughter; Pam Crisp (Terry). She was grandmother to 7 and great-grandmother to 8, who were her pride and joy. She was also survived by her brother, Howard, and several nieces and nephews.

She loved gardening, flowers, bird watching, and made the best soup beans. She lived a simple life, always content and never complaining about what life sent her way. She was a perfect example of a virtuous woman.
