AMES DONALD BAKER, age 83 of Bristol, Virginia born May 29, 1938, and passed away May 18, 2022. He was a member of Chestnut Flats Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lucille Baker, brother Dale Baker, and grandson Levi Carter.

He was a veteran of the US Navy 1955-1959 aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA # 42. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Sue Baker, daughter Mary Donette Carter and husband Richard Carter, Son James Bradford Baker and wife Vanessa Baker. Four grandchildren Noah Carter, Chelsey Carter, William Baker, and Ross Baker and brother Alvin Baker.
