NELLIE GRACE DOWELL, of Blountville, TN, died May 30, 2023, in Bristol, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Hugh and Geneva Smith.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dowell; sons, Jeff Dowell, and Billy Dowell; sister, Margie Baker; and brother, Ralph Smith.

Grace is survived by her son, Bobby Dowell; daughter, Connie Penley (Mike); grandsons, Tyler Penley and William Dowell; daughter-in-law, Norma Dowell; brother, Frank Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

Grace was a 1955 graduate of Hilton High School. She was saved at an early age and attended church regularly. She was a member of Gardener’s Memorial Church.
