CAROLYN SUE FANNON, 75 of Blackwater, VA passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Norton Community Hospital after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 15, 1949 in Kingsport, TN to the late Clyde and Ruby Johnson. She was a 1967 graduate of Blackwater High School. Carolyn began her walk with Christ when she was saved at an early age at Flower Gap Primitive Baptist. She was a faithful member of Osborne’s Chapel Primitive Baptist, where she served as a teacher and secretary of the Sunday School. She spent her life as a homemaker and farmer. Carolyn devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Larry Fannon, her daughter and son-in-law Tracy & Darrell Lewis, her son Douglas Fannon, two granddaughters Amanda Manis-Horton and Victoria Manis and her fiancé Isaiah Eldridge, and one great-granddaughter, Nora Horton, who was the light of her life.

She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Lynette Johnson, sister and brother-in-law Geri and George Taylor, sister-in-law and brother-in-law James & Mary Ruth Davidson, several nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, neighbors, her precious church family and beloved dog Copper.
