DOROTHY KEATON, age 81, of Sneedville, born June 6, 1942, departed this life on May 15, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Saved at a young age, she was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was a member of Swan Creek Primitive Baptist Church and sung with the Swan Creek Trio for many years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Elbert and Chloe Johnson; her husband, Hairm Keaton; brothers, Jackie Johnson and Howard Johnson; sisters, Louise (Earl) Johnson and Margaret (Jay) Hicks; sisters-in-law, Wanda Johnson, Trish Johnson, and brother-in-law, Troy Sutton.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Nick Ferguson; sisters, Helen (Ben) McDaniel and Wanda (EJ) Stanifer; brothers, Fred (Lois) Johnson, Junior Johnson, Billy Johnson, Homer (Terry) Johnson, Burkett (Patsy) Johnson, and Roger (Francis) Johnson; sister-in-law, Anna Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
