EVELYN ELLIOTT, age 90, of Sneedville, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on January 17, 2024. She was born on January 7, 1934, to Noah and Mary Royston Keaton. Saved at a young age, Evelyn joined Swan Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member throughout her life. The church members loved her dearly and will forever remember her cheerful smile and her friendly hugs during fellowship. When she got happy in the Lord, she would often raise her hands above her head and clap them in praise.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elder Tyler James (T.J.) Elliott; her brother, Hairm Keaton; and one great-grandchild.

Evelyn is survived by her son Junior (Karen) Elliott; her daughter Beatrice (Mack) Hatfield; her grandchildren Rhonda (Kevin) Johnson, Karen Hatfield, Darrell (Whitney) Elliott, Jamie (Rebecca) Elliott, and Marty Ferguson; her 11 great-grandchildren, including her beloved great-granddaughter Marlie Ferguson; her niece Teresa (Nick) Ferguson; and her special friends Patty and Ed Maddock. Evelyn’s family loved her very much, and they will forever remember her devotion to them. As a praying mother, she was a bright light in their lives. Evelyn will be missed by all who knew her, but her loved ones are assured that she is resting peacefully with the Lord.
