JAMES THOMAS OSBORNE, 83, of Blackwater, VA, was born on October 30, 1940, and went on to be with the Lord on April 26, 2024.

He was saved at an early age and was a member of Blackwater Lick (Big Door) Church where he led the choir singing and was the superintendent of Sunday School until he became unable to do so. He also sang with the Messenger's Quartet for many years.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 41 years, Maybelle Marie Johnson Osborne; his parents, Arthur and Sally Osborne; and five brothers, Wayne, Roy, Smith, Jack and Bill Osborne.

He is survived by one son, Barry "Butterball" Osborne and wife, Cathy; two daughters, Martha Perry and husband, Jamie, and Marsha Fields; one brother, Hayes Osborne and wife, Nancy; four grandsons, Brandon Perry and wife, Lacy, Casey Perry and wife, Jennifer, Andrew Perry, and D.J. Perry; three granddaughters, Taylor Fields, Christa Murphy and husband, David, and Ashely Burchette and Michael Burchett,; eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
