JULIE ANN PIERCE, age 83, was born on September 8th, 1940 in Blackwater, VA and she passed away after a brief illness on March 21st, 2024 at Lee Health and Rehab Center with her family and friends by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Blackwater, VA where she was a member of Osborne’s Chapel Church. Julie professed her faith on January 2nd, 1954 at Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church in Blackwater, VA. She dedicated her life to helping others and that was most evidenced in the Christian way she lived her life and in her nursing career. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 42 years, working most of that time at Lee County Hospital. She had a giving heart and was an absolute joy to everyone who knew her.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard H. Evans and Sarah V. Owens Evans; brothers: Cecil Evans, Fred Evans & Paul Evans; sisters: Ethel Owens, Lillian Pridemore, Alice Jessee, Lona Johnson, Cleo Evans, and RoseLee Wells; and former husband, Clyde Pierce.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Jones (husband Stephen); grandson: Evan Jones; granddaughter: Hannah Jones; brother: Don Evans (wife Stella); and a host of nieces and nephews.
