LAQUINTA JOY OSBORNE, 93, of Kingsport passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024. She was born June 14, 1931, in Rogersville, TN to the late James Ray Mayo and Norma Effie Fleenor Mayo. She was a feisty, funny, kind, independent, and strong-willed woman. Joy was a member of West View where she taught Sunday school. She retired from the Kingsport Press with more than 20 years of service. Joy enjoyed walking, crocheting, sewing, and travel, especially bus tours.

In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her first husband, Clinton Fields; her second husband, Andrew Jackson Osborne, Sr.; brothers, James Jr., Gene, Tom, and Harold; and granddaughter, Michelle Nunes.

Those left to cherish Joy’s memory are her daughter, Diana Cowden; stepson, Andy Osborne, Jr. (Mona); 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
