NORMA CHRISTINE HULSE was born November 7, 1940, to the late Wes Short and Jessie Dezarns Short and went to be with the Lord September 7, 2024. Norma was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, grandmother, and sister who made family her main priority. She was especially fond of her grandson, Brandon. Norma loved everyone and never met a stranger, and was a “big talker.”

In addition to her parents. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Henry Hulse; sisters: Betty Dockery, Jimmie Stevens and Carolyn Oaks.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kristie Hood (Jim): son, Johnny Hulse; grandson, Brandon Hood; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Selah Hood; sister, Jeweldean Spurlock; brothers, Charles Short (Debbie) and Gary Short (Kay); and several nieces and nephews.

Even though Norma wasn’t able to attend church like she would have liked to, she never forgot to pray for her friends and family at Poplar Grove Church.
